January 26, 2010 BCAPOP is working very hard to support the efforts of Pregnancy Outreach Programs. Highlights of BCAPOP activities for this past year include: 'Representing pregnancy outreach programs at conferences and with Health Authorities, the Provincial government and the Federal government 'Providing an outstanding educational conference with high caliber presenters such as Penny Simkin, author of “When Survivors Give Birth, and Heather Cameron, founder of “Mothers for Recovery” 'Updating the BCAPOP website to provide on line membership and conference registration payment transactions 'Hosting monthly teleconference calls to connect and support member programs 'Distributing free Prenatal Vitamin/Mineral supplements to member programs through funding from the Public Health Agency of Canada 'Sharing the BCAPOP Logic Model with the Provincial Health Authorities 'Developing and strengthening organizational partnerships such as Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House, Health Canada – First Nations Inuit Health and ActNOW BC Healthy Choices in Pregnancy 'Revising the BCAPOP Logo And so much more!!
