Program Description:
Healthy Babies Prenatal Nutrition Program is a free service for pregnant women and mothers with babies up to six months of age. We offer weekly social meal groups, resource sharing, nutrition counselling, breastfeeding support, sharing shelves(free baby items), individual counselling, emergency food hampers, free vitamins and food coupons. Public health nurses and a Dietitian are available to assist women in the perinatal period. This program is linked with CAPC and other parent support / early learning activities offered by the Healthy Families Program.

We offer weekly drop-in groups in Ucluelet and Tofino which also serve the surrounding communities. These groups are a great place to meet and connect with other parents and community services. Together we share and learn about topics such as nutrition, pregnancy, birth, parenting, and breastfeeding. We offer healthy snacks, free prenatal vitamins and weekly nutrition coupons for those who would like extra support in eating well. Family Ties is a joint program offered through Nuu Chah Nulth Tribal Council and Vancouver Island Health Authority.
