Childbirth Fear Study- posted July 11, 2019

Dear BCAPOP Staff,

I am reaching out to you on behalf of Dr. Nichole Fairbrother, Professor with the University of British Columbia Department of Psychiatry.

We previously reached out to you about sharing our study information for the Childbirth Fear Study and we greatly appreciate your support in that! We are now conducting a new interview and treatment study for fear of childbirth and would like to ask if you could help us with recruitment for this study.

We will be interviewing up to 25 women who are suffering from significant fear of childbirth. We will then be offering treatment to a small subset of these (cognitive behaviour therapy).

I am attaching our introductory letter (CBT for FoB Recruitment Email to Providers - V3 - Final .pdf) and study poster (FoB Poster_v3_24May2019.pdf). I would be very grateful if you could share this with any of your clients and contacts suffering from significant fear of childbirth. More detailed information and full study eligibility criteria can be found in the study letter.

I will follow up shortly via phone call, but in the meantime please feel free to reach out to me at this email should you have any questions or require further information. Thank you very much for your time and assistance.
