Part I: Wednesday May 13, 2020 from 9am - 12pm PDT
BCAPOP PSU Training Part I will provide a basic introduction to:
- The effects of substance use in pregnancy
- Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) in pregnancy
- Breastfeeding and substance use
Part II: Wednesday May 20, 2020 from 9am - 12pm PDT
BCAPOP PSU Training Part II will provide a basic introduction to:
- Supporting pregnant and parenting individuals using substances
- Tools to open conversations
- Trauma-informed ways of working
- Supporting through apprehension
- Province-wide resources
Who should attend? Pregnancy outreach workers, nurses, physicians, child welfare workers, family support workers, social workers, health/social service students, outreach workers, shelter workers, detox workers, treatment centre workers, doulas, child birth educators, peer support workers and anyone else who supports pregnant individuals.
Each registration includes access to a recording of the webinar for 30 days after the session, if the scheduled date/time does not work for you. You will also receive a certificate of completion after you attend/view the webinar and complete the quiz.
