Perinatal Support Skills Workshop

There is a marked increase of perinatal mood disorders, especially anxiety, since March 2020. This is not surprising as we know many new families have had a decrease of support and an increase in insolation during the Covid-19 reality. During this workshop, we will explore of the issues arising due to the pandemic and how care providers can help support struggling pregnant and post partum participants during this difficult time.
The goal of this session is to:
Provide care providers with an understanding of perinatal depression (PND) so they can support and refer pregnant and post partum individuals for help.
By completion of the session, participants will be able to:
- Define PND, its prevalence, signs & symptoms, and risk factors.
- Understand the societal context of motherhood as it relates to PND and the implications of not getting help.
- Describe the role of the care providers in supporting pregnant and early parenting individuals with PND.

Who should attend? Care workers who support pregnant individuals.

Credit card payments only. No refunds or cancellations, as all paid registrations will receive access to a recording of the conference, which will be available through October 20, 2020.
Registration is not compete until payment is received.
Payment Deadlines:
Until September 15th: payment must be received within 30 days or by September 15th (whichever is soonest); otherwise pending registration will be cancelled.
September 16th - October 5th: payment must be received immediately; otherwise pending registration will be cancelled.

No group registrations. Registration is non-transferrable and is intended for the paid registrant only. Registration is not be shared/viewed with non-registrants. BCAPOP reserves the right to invoice the paid registrant for any additional unpaid viewers using a paid registration.
Note: we cannot guarantee that registrations completed after 12pm PDT on October 4, 2020 will receive the login information in time for the live event; however, access to the recording of the webinar will still be provided.
