In collaboration with Vantage Point, BCAPOP is proud to present this dynamic three-hour workshop for anyone looking to enhance their leadership skills with a better understanding of their self.
Think of one or two leaders who have inspired you in life. If you were to come up with adjectives to describe them, what are they? Everyone is unique, but chances are words like “authentic”, “reliable”, and “strong” showed up. These words are all related and part of what makes a great leader – and you will have the chance to explore how they relate to you, personally, in this half-day workshop.
In Leading from Within, you will explore your personal leadership strengths, clarify your values, and envision your desired leadership impact.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

Presenter: Fatima Al-Samak, Organizational Consultant
Fatima (she/her) is an experienced facilitator, community organizer, and a proud aunt! She leans on her background in social justice, grassroots organization, journalism, and a career of 20 years working in the non-profit sector to create spaces where participants feel safe to share, explore, and think boldly about their future. She has a natural ability to lead a team with confidence while centering empathy, lived experience, common values, and community needs. She holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations from the University of British Columbia, and enjoys traveling and storytelling.
